Fees & Charges

Appealing a Rejected Insurance Claim

We operate on a No-Win-No-Fee basis which means if we’re unable to successfully appeal your claim you won’t have to pay us anything at all. To ensure a fair charging structure it is our policy to charge on a tapered sliding scale depending on the value of your claim.

Band Claim Band Percentage Fee per £000
1 0K-50K 20.80% £208.00
2 50k-100K 15.00% £150.00
3 100K-250K 08.50% £85.00
4 250K-500K 06.50% £65.00
5 500K+ 03.50% £35.00

For example, if you had a claim valued at £300,000. The first £100,000 would be charged at the band 1 rate. The second £100,000 would be charged at band 2 rates and the final £100,000 at band three. Our fee would be £35,300 (11.77% of the claim) excluding VAT.

Making a New Claim on an Insurance policy

The fees for making a new claim on an insurance policy are offered at a greatly reduced rate (compared to our appealing an insurance claim). We can either charge a fee on a No-Win-No fee basis, which means, if for any reason your claim is rejected you won’t pay us any fee. Or you can pay an upfront fee at a 30% discount of the below table. To ensure a fair charging structure it is our policy to charge on a tapered sliding scale depending on the value of your claim. Minimum fee £1,500 (inc VAT)

If, for any reason, your claim is rejected, we will offer a 50% reduction if you use our “appealing a rejected claim” service**. The fees for those services can be seen here.

Mis-Sold Insurance Policies

The FCA have recently brought in a fee cap in relation to claims management activities. This relates to any mis-sold financial service product, including but not limited to: mis-sold pensions, mortgages, insurance, and investments. You don’t have to use a CMC to make a claim. It's often possible to claim compensation yourself. The process for claiming compensation differs depending on the type of claim you are making.

It is possible that your claim may fall under two areas of charging. For example, we may claim against the insurance company and the broker that sold the policy. We would then charge a percentage of the amount received from the insurance provider and a different percentage against the broker.
